Shifting Tides: Book 7 of Painting the Mists, is up on Amazon and KU! This book follows primarily Cha Ming, Wang Jun, and Hong Xin in that order. Want to explore the mysteries of Haijing City, following Cha Ming as he tries to heal his core? Read on!
Here’s the synopsis:
A fire has been kindled in Cha Ming’s heart. Though his time with Yu Wen was short and blissful, her death has left a deep hole that needs filling. Cha Ming must transcend his mortal shackles if he hopes to find her again in the cycle of reincarnation. To that end, he journeys to Haijing to study alchemy with the world’s finest. Little does he know that the ancient underwater city is a linchpin in the struggle between angels and devils.
Meanwhile, Wang Jun seeks to solidify his influence within his family in Gold Leaf City. Concurrently, Hong Xin works to pull the remnants of the Red Dust Pavilion up by the roots. The deck is stacked against them, but they have little choice but to play the game. They must never meet, for their union would be a weakness neither one of them can afford.
The tides of war are rising, and no one in the Ling Nan Plane can outrun them.
Here’s a progress update on other works:
Book 8, whose current working title is Shattered Lands, is about 80% complete. My goal is to finish up the first draft once we get back to Beijing from our wedding reception in early January. The goal is still releasing Book 8 in late March early April, and Book 9 (no working title as of yet) two and a half months later or so, followed by the second part of Violet Fate.
On the audiobook front, Clear Sky: Book 1 of Painting the Mists is out on Dec 31 and is available for preorder. Blood Moon, Book 2 of Painting the Mists is out on Jan 28. The plan is to release them in one month increments to enable delicious audible credits to renew. Very insidious.
Now stop reading this and start reading Shifting Tides. Do let me know how it was and leave a review!
